Tract Number 1

SAVED, means to be delivered from sin and its penalty.  In other words, to be safe, or rescued from danger.

Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

To many, being saved is just becoming religious, turning over a new leaf, or just starting over.  Others, would say being saved is living right, going to Church, and giving up old habits.  These things are good to do, but being saved is much more than that.

Multitudes are trusting in their works, self-rigtheousness, culture, education, family name, the Church, religion, creeds, and many other ideas of men.  God said being SAVED was to be raised from the dead spiritually.

John 11:25, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that  believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:"

Salvation is more than an outward change.  It is a change from the heart, or an inward change.

II Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old  things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Being SAVED, or BORN AGAIN, is receiving JESUS CHRIST, God’s Son, into your heart.

John 1:12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become  the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

Salvation is allowing the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST to wash away your sin and to set you free.

1 Peter 1:18-19, "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:"

We must all realize that we are sinners, and all we can do is produce the sinner and Christ can produce the salvation.

Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

We must confess our sin from our heart and not from our head.  The moment we confess our sin the Lord will forgive us.

1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

To be SAVED, then means to be delivered from the bondage of sin, to become a citizen of HEAVEN and to have a new heart.  With our new heart, we have new affections and new desires.  Thank God, we have had a heart transplant, spiritually.  If you have never repented of your sin, just bow your head right now and ask JESUS to forgive you.

JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN FORGIVE YOU  OF YOUR SIN.

John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
