     FREEDOM

     This nation was established on and for freedom.  Many have bled and died to obtain and keep it. Great men have come and gone before us so that we may have the liberties we have today. 

      One great leader said “Give me liberty or give me death!”

      The greatest leader of all times said: John 8:36, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."  This great leader was Jesus Christ and He is talking to you.  Will you hear Him? 

      Everywhere we look today, we see men in bondage.  In bondage to sin.  They are in bondage to alcohol, drugs, sex, pleasure, gambling, and a host of other sins.  Their only hope of deliverance from these bonds is the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

     All men are born in sin.  Psalms 51:5, "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."

      Without the salvation of the Lord you are still a sinner.  Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

      As a sinner, you have a death sentence upon you.  Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

      As a sinner, you need to be born again.  John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

      As a sinner, God will save you and lift you out of the bondage of sin.  Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

      As a sinner, you can be made a new creature.  2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

      As a sinner you must repent.  Luke 13:3, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
